Terms & Conditions

Confirmation:
Confirmation of booking our services given either verbally or in writing will be taken as acceptance of our quoted charges and these terms. All items are offered subject to availability.

Prices:
All prices are subject to market fluctuation.
Minimum order for food is £200 when we offer a delivery service.
Food and wine tasting where required will be charged at full price including service. Should the event then be booked this service will be given free of charge and deducted from the invoice.
Prices are based on a minumum of 30 people, please ask for our sliding scale of prices for parties of less than 30 people

Numbers:
We require confirmation of final numbers at least 7 working days prior to the event.
After this confirmation we will endeavour to accommodate any reasonable increase but regret that no allowance can be made if numbers fall.
If the numbers change significantly from the original quote we may re-cost the event accordingly.

Payment Terms:
All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT.
For large events and first time clients we require 50% of anticipated costs upon confirmation of booking, along with any deposits required securing a venue, this amount is negotiable depending on size of event and we may choose to accept a smaller deposit.
The balance is required 7 days BEFORE the event, with any balance payable within 7 days of the event. Any queries regarding invoicing must be communicated to us within 5 working days of receipt.
We reserve the right to charge interest of 2% above the base rate of Nat West Bank plc. on accounts that exceed our trading terms.
All cheques should be made out to Capital Cuisine.
Bacs payments can be made to Sort Code: 40-16-03 Account No. 11376861

Cancellations:
Once a booking has been confirmed we reserve staff, kitchen time and provisions and may refuse other clients that wish to book our services. Therefore, cancellation charges will apply to events as follows:

  • Over 28 days No Charge
  • Within 28 days 15%
  • Within 14 days 25%
  • Within 7 days 50%
  • Less than 5 days 75%

Wedding Cancellations:- When confirming a wedding we make this date unavailable to other clients to ensure you have our undivided attention, however if for whatever reason you cancel, it is unlikely that we will be able to re-book the date, meaning a considerable loss of revenue and incurred costs, therefore cancellation costs for weddings are slightly different as below:

  • Over 6 months no charge, full refund of deposit
  • Over 3 months 50% of deposit retained
  • Under 3 months deposit non refundable

Ancillary Services:
Staffing: Waiting staff will be charged at £12.95per hour plus VAT, minimum 4 hour session. Suggested staffing levels are as follows:

  • Canapé only receptions 1 per 20 guests
  • Canapés plus drinks 2 per 20 guests
  • Sit down dinners 1 per 10 guests plus wine service staff

Flowers: A range of floral decorations can be provided by our experienced team of florists.

Crockery and Cutlery hire: Standard 3 course lay up including glassware, coffee cup, table cloth and all crockery and cutlery - £6.50 + VAT per head. Any additional requirements will be charged at cost.

Wines: A comprehensive wine list is included in our menu selector, however should you require a particular wine that is not listed we would be happy to quote for this, provided the volumes would warrant the purchase. A corkage charge of £5.00 per bottle will be charged on any wines supplied by the client, this may be waived dependant on what other of our services are booked.

Licensed Bar: A fully licensed bar is available.

Marquee: We have access to some of the country's best marquees, for any occasion.

Entertainment:
We can, on the clients behalf engage a number of entertainment solutions, from choirs to rock bands.

Staffing:
Staff engaged on your behalf are either already known to us or selected on the basis of recommendations we believe to be reliable. However, we do not accept responsibility or any liability in respect of anything they may do or fail to do while engaged on your behalf.

After 10.30pm in the interest of safety we ensure that our staff are safely transported home, this cost is built in to our staff hourly rate.

Loss, Damages and Liabilities:
Any loss or damage to equipment or property will be the responsibility of the client and replacement cost will be charged in full.

We do not accept responsibility for the personal property of clients or guests.
No liability can be accepted for failure of performance due to strikes, lock-outs, hostilities, acts of God or any other circumstances beyond the control of Capital Cuisine.
